Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LookupFox's website, API, dashboard, and Google Sheets add-on (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

LookupFox verifies email addresses — checking syntax, domain/MX records, and mailbox deliverability, and flagging disposable or role-based addresses — and returns the result to you via the API, the dashboard, or the Google Sheets add-on. New accounts receive a starting balance of free credits; each verification consumes one credit.

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account, your password, and any API keys you generate. API keys are shown to you once, at creation — treat them like a password and never expose them in client-side code or public repositories. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account and your keys, whether or not you personally performed it.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, including anti-spam, data protection, or privacy law.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or authentication, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service as your own product without our written permission.
• Submit content that infringes on the rights of others or that you don't have permission to process.

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, depending on severity.

You are solely responsible for the email addresses and lists you submit for verification, and for having the right to process them — for example, that they were collected lawfully and that verifying them doesn't violate the rights of the people on the list or any law that applies to you. LookupFox verifies deliverability; it does not review, and is not responsible for, how you obtained a list or what you do with the results.

The Service is metered by credits: one credit per verification, deducted at the moment a result is returned. If your balance reaches zero, further verification requests will be rejected until you add more credits. Credit pricing and any subscription plans are as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase, and are subject to change with notice for future billing periods. Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, credits are non-refundable.

The add-on operates within your active spreadsheet and consumes credits from your LookupFox account exactly like any other verification made through the API or dashboard. Use of the add-on is subject to these Terms and to Google's own Google Workspace Marketplace terms.

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the data you submit (such as your email lists). You grant us the limited right to process that data solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Email verification results are a strong signal, not a guarantee — we don't warrant that every “valid” result will always be deliverable, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LookupFox will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, and we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you first except where immediate action is needed to prevent harm or abuse.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LookupFox regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
